Newspaper Articles
  • New York Times Sunday feature on backlogs in deciding Social Security disability cases: The article mentioning Academy members Charles T. Hall and Walter Patterson detailed tragic North Carolina cases where clients died, commited suicide or lost their homes while waiting years for a ruling. The newspaper followed up with an editorial scoriating the Bush Administration for being tight-fisted and asking for more resources for the chronically underfunded Social Security Administration.
